JOHNSTOWN — FEY-SHANK – Nancie (Wharrier), 90, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 19, 2012, at Hershey Medical Center. Born April 29, 1922, in New Castle on Tyne, England, daughter of John and Annie (Heel) Wharrier. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Stanford James Fey; husband, Robert W. Shank; brother, John Wharrier; two infant sisters; stepgrandson; and nephew, David Wharrier. Survived by children, Clare Fey; Peggie, married to Guy Delparte; Joan Fey, and partner, Bill Greene; Jerrie Cope; Jack, married to Tina Fey; Tracie Zeimba, married to Chester; and Gary Fey; seven stepchildren and their descendants; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Member of New Life Christian Fellowship. Lifetime member of Upper Yoder auxiliary and county ladies auxiliary and Hilltop Senior Citizens. She was a riveter during World War II building airplanes. She made costumes for local theaters and was well-known for her sewing and craft skills. She was a 1941 graduate of Johnstown High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Pastor Sally Houton, officiating. Interment will be private at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conemaugh Hospice.
