WINDBER — FORNWALT – Norma Ruth, 99, Windber, passed away Dec. 4, 2012, at Church of the Brethren Home. Born May 10, 1913, in Johnstown, daughter of Norman E. and Etta (Gilbert) Stewart. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Cyrus Fornwalt; daughter, Norma Mae Heck; grandson, Gregory E. Hogue; brothers, Robert Vernon, Dwight Ray, V. Merle and Don E. Stewart; and sister, Lila Barley. Survived by beloved children, C. George Fornwalt, married to the former Mary Tache, Mesa, Ark.; Frederick W. Fornwalt, married to former Linda Yoder, Bluffton, Ind.; and Carol Fornwalt, Windber; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tony Marino, Windber, and Jerry Smith “The Whistler,” Windber. Norma was employed as a hand model in the glove department of Penn Traffic. She was a longtime member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church and the Guys & Dolls. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Moskal & Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Moxham, the Rev. Kathleen Schoeneck, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Park Avenue United Methodist Church in memory of Norma.
