JENDRICKS – John “Johnny,” 89, Westmont, died Dec. 4, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 9, 1923, in Johnstown, son of Stephen and Lucille (Sopchick) Jendricks. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Olga (Saula) Jendricks; and sisters, Frances Anna, Mary Agnes, Margaretta and Marie Veronica. He is survived by his son, Stephen Jendricks; sisters, Victoria Kelly and Dolores Abele; and brother, Stephen Jendricks. He also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was retired from Glosser Bros., where he was the advertising manager for many years. Johnny had family in different areas of the country who were in different walks of life. They all loved him dearly. He was a veteran of World War II as a flyer under squadron leader, Jimmy Stewart. He faced the enemy on more than 35 missions over Germany. His family cannot know his wounds of war, but look forward to seeing him in the great blue yonder. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. Aim high. Friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Private committal at Grandview Cemetery.
