JOHNSTOWN — TWARDZIAK – Anthony F. Jr., 85, formerly of Brownstown Borough, died Dec. 9, 2012, at Villa Personal Care Home. Born Nov. 25, 1927, in Johnstown, son of Anthony F. Sr. and Antonia (Garvacka) Twardziak. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Margaret (Cicon) Twardziak; infant daughter, Marie Twardziak; sisters, Jessie Tokar, Maria McDonald, Ann Milano, Lottie Moran and Dorothy Porada; and brothers, Walter, Robert and Stanley Twardziak. Survived by loving children, Kenneth, married to the former Lori J. Horner, Johnstown; Rachelle, married to R. Michael Hackworth, Clarksville, Ohio; Karen, married to Vincent Vizza, Philadelphia; and Christine, married to Eric Bunnell, Johnstown. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Brother of Blanche Varmecky and Nellie Skubak, both of Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. A U.S. Army corporal, having served in the Korean War. Retired carpenter from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a former avid bowler and singer. Member of SPEBSQSA, Harmonie Singing Society, Brownstown Golf Association, Retired Men’s Club, Polski Dom and various social clubs and societies throughout Cambria City. Also a member of St. Michael Choir and Catholic Church in Brownstown, where funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Franciscan Friars, OFM, Conv. Committal, Grandview Cemetery. Friends received from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Michael’s Church.
