WILMORE — PASTOVIC – Mary A., 93, formerly of Wilmore, passed from this world surrounded by her loving family May 5, 2011. Born Nov. 29, 1917, in Portage, daughter of Michael and Agnes (Saylor) Scoran. Preceded in death by the love of her life, her beloved husband, Nick Pastovic, who proceeded her to heaven Dec. 29, 2009; her parents; brothers, John, Joseph, Adam, Michael and Edward Scoran; and sisters, Martha Muniza-Gallo and Josephine Repko. Survived by sisters, Agnes Sady, Benscreek; and Genevieve Gloster, Portage; and brothers, Ralph (Bernadine) Scoran, Portage; and Leonard (Dorothy) Scoran, Benscreek; and beloved sister-in-law, Helen Pastovic, New York City, N.Y. Beloved and cherished mother of Charles “Buster” Pastovic, married to Regina Shandor, Olmsted, Ohio, and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Robert A. Pastovic, and friend, Tannes Hess, York; and Joni, wife of Robert Tickerhoof, Ebensburg. Devoted grandmother to Nickole (Mike) George; Marlena (Giovanni) Vendemia; Veronica Tickerhoof; Robert James Tickerhoof; and Damian, Taylor, Dakota and Zackery Pastovic. Great-grandmother “GG” to Abigail, Evan and Catherine George and Maximus Nico Vendemia. Mary enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s musical and sporting events. We will cherish our memories of beautiful holidays and birthdays celebrated together. Mary worked in the defense plant during World War II. She also worked at Forest Park Club and was a houseparent at the Cresson Youth Center. She was an avid bowler, often taking “high scorer” and belonged to the 600 Club for perfect games. She bowled twice weekly until the age of 85. Mary requested no viewing or visitation. All are welcome to attend her funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, by Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus.
