WINDBER — YONISH-COTZ – Mary A. (Bugayi), 92, Windber, died July 26, 2012, at Windber Hospice, surrounded by her loving daughters. Born May 26, 1920, in Windber, daughter of John and Anna (Holovka) Bugayi. Preceded in death by parents; husbands, Joseph Cotz and Nick Yonish; grandson, Curtis Mayer; and brother, Tony Bugayi. Survived by daughters, Shirley, wife of William Hollern, Windber; Joanne, wife of Gerald D’Arcangelo, California; and Carol, wife of Carl Mayer, Windber. Also survived by children, Dave Yonish, married to the former Carol Mandel, Windber; Patrice, wife of Dale Stiffler, Hollsopple; and Lillian, wife of Andy Lucas, Cairnbrook. Survived by grandchildren, Brian and Keith Hollern, Jerry D’Arcangelo, Charles Mayer, Anne Neal, Christopher Yonish, Ryan Yonish, Carly Broucher, Brett Yonish, Nick Yonish, Marianne Lucas and Cindy Cominsky; and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Hollern, Devon and Daniel D’Arcangelo; Jakson and Mackenzie Mayer; Stella Neal; Danielle Rinaldi; Caden and Cambree Yonish; Katie and Shelby Yonish; Andrew, Cheyenne and Donald Yonish; Jim Kosnosky; Angela Lucas; and Mike and Kayla Cominsky. Mary loved her family and friends; her greatest pleasure was spending time with them. Her lovely smile will be missed by all. She was an accomplished seamstress and excelled at cooking and baking. Mary was a 50-year Red Cross bloodmobile volunteer and a 16-year Windber Hospital volunteer. Mary was very devoted to her church and an active participant in church events. Member of Polish Heritage Choir and Secular Franciscan Order. Also a member of the Rosary Society at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. and vigil for the deceased will be held. Interment, St. John Cantius Cemetery, Windber. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Windber Regional Hospice in Mary’s memory.
