JOHNSTOWN — FOCHTMAN – Robert, 81, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 19, 2012, at LaurelWood Care Center. Born June 7, 1931, in Johnstown, son of Blaine and Gertrude (Felten) Fochtman. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Stephen Fochtman; and sister, Roseanne McLeary. Survived by wife of 57 years, Loretta Leonardis; and children, Patti (Ron) Hankinson; Michelle (Ken) St.Clair; Kathy (Ray) Diamond; Tom Fochtman, and friend, Karyn Shaw; Jackie (Brian) Riffle; and Ken (Paula Rolt); also former daughter-in-law, Cindy Ickes. Also survived by grandchildren, Lindsay Hankinson, Shane (Dana) Hankinson, Brett Hankinson, Amanda St.Clair, Laura St.Clair, Neil (Logan) Diamond, Jaclyn (Josh) Feathers, Rob (fiance, Lydia Lehman) Fochtman, Dane (Shana) Fochtman, Kalynne Rainey, Alan (Amber) Waters, Tom (Sarah) Riffle, Sean Riffle, and Jonathan and Erin Fochtman; great-grandchildren, Chase and Brody Diamond, Lexie Feathers, Gabby and Geonna Riffle; and sisters, Mary (Mel) Schatz, Jean (Sam) Gindlesperger, Jane (Hap) Miller. Bob retired from U.S. Steel Corp. after 35 years of service and a former employee of Emglo and McIlwain School Bus Lines. Member of Knights of Columbus Council 11308. Life member of Disabled American Veterans, was Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He loved camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife and kids, and especially all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Father Angelo Patti, celebrant. Interment, St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Windber. Military rites to be performed by Menoher VFW Post 155.
