BOSWELL — SNOEBERGER – Claude R. “Snowy,” 66, Boswell, died unexpectedly Nov. 19, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 22, 1946, in Somerset, son of Richard R. and Helen (Shawley) Snoeberger. Preceded in death by parents and father-in-law, Pastor Chauncey J. Ickes. Survived by wife of 44 years, the former Cathy G. Ickes; sons, Chad, married to Montreda Steckman; and Cory, married to Erica Sleasman, both of Boswell; grandchildren, Katie, Hunter, Cameron and Cody Snoeberger; sister, Vickie, married to Bob Edmonson, Hooversville; mother-in-law, Ruby Ickes; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. A 1964 graduate of the former Jenner-Boswell Joint High School. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle and Jenner Rod & Gun Club. Retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Plant, and longtime employee of Hoffman Funeral Homes. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Hill Tabernacle, Pastor Gary W. Anderson, officiating. Interment, Jenner Township Baptist Cemetery.
