ADAMS – Otis W., 93, Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria, formerly of Emeigh, died March 13, 2013, surrounded by his family at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 7, 1919, in Barnesboro, son of Merrit Blair and Ethel Mae (Braughler) Adams. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Ann L. Eastman, in 2002, brother, Walter; and sisters, Alice A. Smith, Elda L. Ungar, Elizabeth Joy West and Donna Bass. Survived by daughter, Ruth Marie (Joseph) Woodcock, Mercerville, N.J.; grandchildren, Megan and Kimberly Woodcock; sister, Lois G. Rambo, Bangor, Maine; and great-great-nephew, Tanner. U.S. Marine veteran of World War II. Former truck driver for Gulf Oil Corp., Hamilton, N.J. Member of Morning Star Ministries. Very active at Spangler Senior Center. Enjoyed fishing and hunting. Loved sharing time with his grandchildren. Loved animals and training dogs. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor Ken Brown. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by local veterans organizations. Interment, East Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan. 66675, or Spangler Senior Center, P.O. Box 301, Northern Cambria, Pa. 15714.
