Mary T. DePetro

EMEIGH — DePETRO – Mary T., 79, Emeigh, died Jan. 11, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Oct. 3, 1933, in Johnstown, daughter of Walter and Margaret (Maloy) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 53 years, Tony J., in 2006; sisters, Patricia Lavon Miller and June Ann Noon; and brother, Walter Miller Jr. Survived by children, Mary M., and husband, Mark Cidor, Northern Cambria; Karen A., and husband, Robert Messina, Madison, Ohio; Tanya M., and husband, Benjamin Wilshire Jr.; Anthony and Sharon Farrell; and Joseph Sr., all of Emeigh; and Walter, Bowdertown; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law always, Jane DePetro. Sister of Betty Hands, Chandler, Ariz.; and Margaret Melendez and James Miller, both of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nephews and nieces; sisters-in-law, Catherine DePetro, Northern Cambria; Rose Kowalczyk, Somerset; Ann Perigo, Aurora, Ohio; and Catherine Miller, Aliquippa; and brother-in-law, Donald Noon Sr. Retired aide from Ebensburg Center after 21 years of service. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Retired Public Employees of Pennsylvania, AFSCME Retiree Chapter 13 and Sub Chapter 8303; and UMWA associate member. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929.
