JOHNSTOWN — MARDIS – Frank Morgan, 94, Johnstown, died Jan. 18, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 21, 1918, in Johnstown, son of the late Frank G. and Bertha V. (Morgan) Mardis. Preceded in death by brothers, William Adair and John M. Mardis; and sisters, Mary Adair Sell and Catherine Adair Glock. Survived by wife of 68 years, Mary Edith (Crichton) Mardis, whom he married July 22, 1944; daughters, Ann Crichton Mardis and Mary Edith Mardis; and niece, Lenore D. Mardis McClintock. Member of Westmont Presbyterian Church and Johnstown Pilots Association. He was owner-operator of Crichton Manufacturing Co. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. There will be no public visitation. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Westmont Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Cynthia Cadenhead, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Westmont Presbyterian Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
