CRESSON — LILLY – Jack, 78, Cresson, died Jan. 22, 2013 at home. Born May 5, 1934, in Cresson, son of the late Leo G. and Helen M. (Brandt) Lilly. Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Phyllis Weiland, whom he married Aug. 11, 1956, in Loretto; daughters, Linda Long (Tim), Littlestown; Cindy Trimarco (Tom), Hollidaysburg; Jackie Dullinger (Joe), Elizabethtown; Cheryl Torretti (Greg), DuBois; and Debbie Holsberger (Joe), Cresson; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; also brother, William (Shirley Counsman), Hendersonville, N.C. He graduated from Cresson High School in 1952, earned an Eagle Scout Medal and was an Army veteran. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved gardening. A devoted husband and father, he loved his grandchildren and taught them his trades. Member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson, where he enjoyed helping with the maintenance of the church, and where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Very Rev. John D. Byrnes, celebrant. Committal, church cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where vigil service will be held Friday afternoon. Military rites in charge of local military organizations. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Home Nursing Agency, 118 Ebony Road, Ebensburg, Pa. 15931, in Jack’s memory.
