BOSWELL — KINGERA– Nick W., 81, Boswell, died Jan. 26, 2013, at Somerset Hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Johnstown, son of Metro and Sophie Kingera. Nick was the youngest of 11 children and the only one born in a hospital. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 54 years, former Betty Steve, on Oct. 15, 2008; son, Michael, on Dec. 17, 2011; four sisters; and five brothers. Survived by son, Richard, married to Wanda Steinbrunn; daughter-in-law, Dianne (Overton) Kingera; and granddaughters, Hannah and Mary Kingera, all of Boswell; sister, Delores, married to Boris Adamchak, Conemaugh Borough; and numerous other relatives and friends. Retired employee of former Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, and the church choir and also rang the church bell during Mass. Third degree member of Our Lady of the Laurel Highlands Council 8908, Knights of Columbus, and also was a former K of C district deputy. Former member of Serra Club and Boswell Borough Council. Also coached Little League for many years. Avid walker, fly fisherman, dancer and bowler. Enjoyed traveling with his wife, Betty, and would often quote “Take this for what it’s worth.” Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Tuesday at All Saints Church, Boswell, the Rev. Father Justin Ratajczack, OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
