WINDBER — TOTH – Ann M. (Kovach), 94, Windber, went to be with the Lord Jan. 31, 2013, at Windber Hospice. Born May 31, 1918, in Windber, daughter of Andrew and Julia (Tomari) Kovach. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Steve G. Toth, who passed in 1979; daughter, Donna Jean Toth; son-in-law, Michael G. Hlavaty; grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr. and Melissa Toth; sisters, Julia Nagy, Margaret Nagy, Susan Berczel, Helen Stiffler and Hazel Spak; and brothers, Andrew, Steve and Valentine Kovach. Survived by daughter, Shirley (Toth) Hlavaty, New Jersey; sons, Steve Toth, and wife, Dorothy, Windber; Ronald Toth, and wife, Lorraine, Johnstown; and Jeffrey Toth, and wife, Mona, Windber; grandchildren, Michael Hlavaty, and wife, Ghada; Robert Hlavaty, and wife, Marianne; Edward Hlavaty; Stephanie (Toth) Hoke; Steven Toth, and wife, Melissa; and Amy (Toth), wife of Scott Lybarger; and great-grandchildren, Jenny, Andrew, Christina, Robert and Maggie Hlavaty; Steven and Kayla Toth; and Kylee and Tyler Lybarger. Also survived by sister, Irene Niovich, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was a dedicated homemaker and an excellent cook and baker. Her Hungarian cuisine was outstanding. She spent most of her life in Scalp Level and Carpenters Park. She loved to grow beautiful flower gardens and roses and also loved to crochet for her family. Former member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Windber. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF. Interment, St. Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Windber. Friends received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Windber Hospice in Ann’s memory.
