Theodore W. Glusko

SEWARD — GLUSKO – Theodore “Ted” W., 70, Seward, went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 2013, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Born Oct. 11, 1942, in Johnstown, son of the late John and Jean (Wudyka) Glusko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Theresa “Jean” (Glusko) Chavez; two brothers, John and George Glusko; and father-in-law, Otto Geyer. Prior to his retirement in 2002, Mr. Glusko was employed with the Department of Labor’s Mine Safety Health Administration as a supervisor and federal mine inspector for 32 years. He was compassionate about his work and ensuring the safety of the miners. He served on the National Mine Rescue Team for 16 years. Ted’s love of wife and family, strong work ethic, perseverance and desire to achieve in sports and life has left a lasting legacy that can be seen in his children and grandchildren. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in their sports and extracurricular activities as well as fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, cooking and gardening.  He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Norma (Kells); son, Theodore E. Glusko, and wife, Agatha (Gregory), State College; daughters, Tracy Hall, and husband, Paul, Seward, and Kimberly Pfeil, and husband, Edward, Robinson; his six grandchildren, Katie and Timothy Glusko, Brittany and Patrick Hall and Megan and Zachary Pfeil; mother-in-law, Kathryn Geyer, Seward; brother, Thomas, and wife, Carol, Seward; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Maharajh, and nursing staff on 10 Rose, Connie Rager, Jessica Mack, Beverly Kegley and Sonia Abrams. Friends and family will gather from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, and  10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, 6810 Route 22, New Florence, the Rev. Hans-Peter Helmers, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dorothy Day Center, P.O.
