YORK, PA. — EPPLEY – Gregory Allen, 49, York, died Feb. 6, 2013, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Colleen R. (Burkey) Eppley, with whom he observed their 23rd wedding anniversary on Sept. 23, 2012. Born Oct. 11, 1963, in Johnstown, son of Helen (Hubai) Eppley of Johnstown and the late Lester “Bud” Eppley. Greg was employed as a machinist for Metso Minerals in York. He was an avid West York Bulldog sports fan and faithfully followed the Women’s Ice Hockey Team at IUP. Greg loved spending quality time with his family and friends on Lake Raystown. In addition to his wife and his mother, Greg is survived by daughters, Danielle M. Eppley and Holli A. Eppley; and son, Kendall B. Eppley, all of York; sister, Susan Jones, Wilmore; brothers, Glenn Eppley, Kansas City, Mo.; Donald Eppley, Mineral Point; Douglas Eppley, Dunlo; and Timothy Eppley, Summerhill; and 10 nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 11, at Zion United Methodist Church, 1030 Carlisle Ave., York, the Rev. Bruce Fensterbush, officiating. Cremation will take place following the service and a private family burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, and from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Zion United Methodist Church.
