BOLIVAR — GOLIS – Mary C., 94, Bolivar, died Saturday morning, Feb. 9, 2013, at Beacon Ridge in Indiana. She was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Bolivar, daughter of Nickolai and Anne DiMarzio Orsock. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by the cafeteria staff at the former Laurel Valley High School. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, and the Bolivar American Legion 128 Ladies Auxillary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Golis; son, William Golis; two sisters, Jean Loupe and Anne Runco; and three brothers, Nick and Peter and Mary’s twin brother, George Orsock. Mary is survived by son, Frank E. (Judith) Golis, Bolivar; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Judith Golis, Chicago, Ill; two sisters, Carol Golmont, Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Rosemarie (Robert) Sort, Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel Inc., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert M. Washko, celebrant. Interment will follow at SS. Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville.
