BERLIN — GROFF – Luella Mae, 99, Berlin, died Feb. 13, 2013, at Somerset In-Touch Hospice. Born May 2, 1913, in Berlin, daughter of Shannon and Lulu (Sarver) Brick. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George; brothers, Leonard, Clyde and John Edgar Brick; sisters, Anna Catherine McQuade and Helen L. Sanner; and niece, Deborah Brick. Survived by brother, Robert S. Brick, and wife, Eleanor, Berlin; sister, Dorothy Davis, Florida; nieces and nephews, Karl Brick, Carol Engle, David McQuade, Dennis McQuade, Linda Retz, Molly Baker, Carline Mitchell and Bonnie Hirst; numerous grandnieces and -nephews; and special friends, Gerald and Sandy Parry. She was a former employee at The Berlin Cigar Factory. Member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin, and a longtime volunteer at Meadow View Nursing Center. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Frank Demmy, officiating.
