JOHNSTOWN — DYNIA – Catherine, 96, Johnstown, longtime resident of the Lutheran Home of Johnstown, was taken by her Lord and Savior to her eternal life Feb. 7, 2013. Born June 12, 1916, in Johnstown, daughter of Stanley and Sophia (Bartusik) Dynia. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Alexander. Survived by her nephews, Gregory Dynia, Richmond, Va.; and Philip Dynia, New Orleans, La. Also survived by special friend, Gerald Mock. Catherine was a former member of SS. Casimir & Emerich Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Legion of Mary and was the housekeeper for many years. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Resurrection Parish, Father Alan Thomas, officiating.
