Lebanon, Ind. — AESCHLIMAN – Mr. Walter A. “Brother,” 85, Lebanon, Ind., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at home. The son of Walter and Eva (Querry) Aeschliman, Walter was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Johnstown. Walter served in the U.S. Army. He was married to Betty Jo (Dishman) for almost 60 years; she preceeded him on May 1, 2011. Walter was a successful businessman who owned several businesses including Walter A. Aeschliman Inc. in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Indiana Lodge No. 669 for over 60 years, Lebanon Elks Lodge and United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was a member of Lynhurst Baptist Church and in his later years attended New Brunswick Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and travel throughout the United States and internationally. He supported the sports programs in the Decatur Central Township of Indianapolis throughout his life. Survivors include his children: Tamie Jo (Jim) Morog, Keith (Kamilla) Aeschliman, Dana (Katarzyna) Aeschliman and Troy (Patrea) Aeschliman; grandchildren: Amber Aeschliman Lamar, Ashley Morog, Christina Morog, Brian Aeschliman, Julie Venis Morog, Seth Aeschliman, Zeb Aeschliman, Brooke Aeschliman and Daphne Aeschliman; and great-grandson Ethan Lamar. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at New Brunswick Church of Christ for service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Coyle officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, Ind. Mr. Aeschliman will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon next to his wife. Memorial contributions can be made to the local Boy Scouts in your area.
