Gloria A. Huston

JOHNSTOWN — HUSTON – Gloria A., 83, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Nov. 2, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 27, 1929, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Ruth N. (Noon) Young. Survived by her husband, Maurice G. Huston, whom she married June 20, 1948. Her death now ends her marriage union of 64 years. Also surviving are her children, Sharyn A. Anderson, and husband, William, Windber; William J. Huston, and wife, Kimberly (Wilson), Johnstown; and Deborah G. Hunt, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Melissa Hunt, David Hunt, Jonathan Huston and Sydney Huston. She was a member of Westmont Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deaconess emeritus.  She was a 1947 graduate of Westmont-Upper Yoder High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with her grandchildren and bowling. Her quiet strength, unwavering faith and complete devotion to her family will be forever remembered and sadly missed. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Gary N. Mosorjak, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Westmont Church of the Brethren.
