GALLITZIN — CRONAUER – Elizabeth R. “Betty,” 95, Gallitzin, passed on to a new life Nov. 4, 2012, at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg. Born April 14, 1917, in Hastings, daughter of the late William and Emma (Kline) Link. Preceded in death by husband, Hilary, in 1979; granddaughter, Brenda Hahn, in 1961; grandson, Michael Launi, in 1996; great-grandson, Eli Dambach, in 2012; son-in-law, Thomas Sheehan, in 2011; and brothers and sisters, Michael, Dennis, Charles, Walter, Leo, Margaret Fletcher, Sister Mary Michael OSB, Agnes Born, Mary Link, Helen Holtz, Gertrude Havrilla and Pauline Dorko. Survived by children, Mary Helen (Pat) Hahn, Lynchburg, Va.; Pauline Sheehan, Martinsville, N.J.; James (Helen Kudrick), Cresson; Donald (Karen Nitchman, Lancaster; and Joan (George) Launi, Elwood City; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Betty was the last member of her immediate family. She excelled at cooking, baking and sewing craft items. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sincerely missed by all who knew her. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin (formerly St. Patrick’s), where she was active in various organizations and activities of the years. Betty was faithful in saying her daily prayers and rosaries. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Demetrius, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where vigil service will be held Friday afternoon. (www.gibbonsfunerals.com)
