Vera Jane Allison

RICHLAND — ALLISON – Vera Jane, 86, Richland, died Nov. 6, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 8, 1926, in Ohio, daughter of the late Elno A. and Ruth V. (Richardson) Moore. Preceded in death by siblings, Frederick, Robert and Carol Shaffer. Survived by siblings, Ginger Sell, Doris Turnbull, Donna Unger, Phyllis Ream, Dennis Moore and Judy Sellers. Also survived by husband of 64 years, T. Wayne Allison; children, Bruce, married to former Deborah Leventry, Richland; Daniel, married to Lou Ann Barry, Greensboro, N.C.; Pamela, wife of Paul Carpenter, Landisville, Pa.; Mary, wife of Michael Dooley, Lancaster; Kimberly, wife of Fred Huet, Friedens; John, French Creek, W.Va.; and Julie, wife of Paul Goggin, Davidsville; grandchildren, Scott, Ben, Kathy, Jennifer, Christina, Andrew, Paul, Katie, Eric, Allison, John and Jarrett; and great-grandchildren, Megan, Taylor, Sara Jane, Connor, Piper and Chloe. Member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Vera was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who was loved by all and will be missed dearly. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, the Rev. Ron Barto, officiating. Entombment, Richland Cemetery Mausoleum. Family suggests donations to Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904, in memory of Vera J. Allison.
