NEW FLORENCE — CHESLA – Carl A., 73, New Florence, died Oct. 15, 2012, at home. Born Oct. 5, 1939, in Lockport, son of late Andy George and Anna M. (Barbus) Chesla. Survived by wife of 54 years, Avice (Critchfield) Chesla; daughters, Janice Blahut, and husband, Robert, Pittsburgh; and Carla Moore, and husband, William, Athens, Pa.; grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Moore and Jacob and Luke Blahut; sisters, Theresa Gorman, and husband, David; and Genevieve Fabrizio, both of New Florence; brother, Edward Chesla, and wife, Jeanne, Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephew and extended family. Also preceded in death by brother-in-law, Anthony Fabrizio. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward, and the former St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Florence. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 32 years of service. He enjoyed restoring gas pumps. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Interment, Armagh Cemetery.
