WILMORE — BOLVIN – Scott R. “Hoop,” 54, Wilmore, passed away Feb. 21, 2013. Born Aug. 30, 1958, in Johnstown, son of Clair and Jean (Adams) Bolvin. Preceded in death by father; nephews, Joey Bolvin and Billy Joe McMakin; and niece, Blaine Bolvin. Survived by mother; and sons, Scott A. Bolvin, Wilmore; and Brandon Bolvin, Sidman. Brother of Rick Bolvin, and wife, Linda, Mundys Corner; George Bolvin, and wife, Nancy, New York; Mick Bolvin, and wife, Patti, Seesetown; Tiny Bolvin, and wife, Robin, Portage; Barry Bolvin, and wife, Sharon, Wilmore; and Connie Markus, Entriken. Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was an avid hunter, gardener and fisherman. He was formerly employed by Penn Metals, was a former street commissioner in Summerhill Borough and former co-owner of Hoop and Debs bar. Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation, Windber Hospice or Lions Club.
