WESTMONT — BITTMAN – Mildred D., 101, Westmont, died March 1, 2013, at Allegheny Lutheran Home of Johnstown. She was born Jan. 2, 1912, in Carrolltown, daughter of the late Michael D. and Anna E. (Farabaugh) Dishart. Preceded in death by husband, Anthony J. Bittman, in 1976. Mildred, being the last surviving sibling of 11, is preceded in death by Myrtle Mackell, Luke Dishart, Ethel Varner, Lucinda Cooper, Clotilda Pfarr, Clara Winder, Freda Miller, Mada- lene Stinebiser, Esther Lang and Geraldine Lauer. Survived by daughters, Carol Sax, wife of Carl, and Bonnie Johnson, both of Johnstown; and grandchildren, Scott Sax, Susan Sax Swavely, David Sax, Niel Johnson and Christopher Johnson and Kellie Johnson Bodmer. Also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Mildred was a medical secretary for decades for Dr. Anderson and Dr. Replogle. She was an avid bridge and pinochle player and enjoyed bowling. Mildred also had more than 5,000 hours of volunteer work at Mercy and Memorial hospitals. Member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga St., Johnstown, Pa. 15905 or Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963 in Mildred’s memory.
