WESTMONT — LANDIS – Marjorie R., 87, Westmont, preceded her loving husband, James, to their heavenly home by 88 minutes Feb. 6, 2012. Born March 14, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Willard and Wilma (Goebert) Engelbach. Preceded in death by infant daughter. Survived by husband, James D., with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7, 2011. Also survived by daughter, Gail Landis, married to Doug Myers, Reading, Pa.; son, Gary, married to the former Melissa Pfendler, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Erin, married to Joseph Miller; and Kelsey Landis; also great-granddaughter, Ryann Miller. Marjorie was a former member of the Conemaugh Junior auxiliary. She also was a member of The Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi International. Marjorie was a member of Westmont Presbyterian Church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., West Hills, 921 Menoher Blvd. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westmont Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Douglas Stevens, officiating. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Conemaugh Hospitals Women’s Auxiliary.
