MONACA — WILLIAMS – Ronald T., 74, Monaca, with his loving family at his side passed into life eternal to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. He was born in Spangler on Dec. 20, 1937, to the late Thomas and Louise Jones Williams. He graduated from Spangler High School, Class of 1955, and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He married Gloria Calvetti in December 1960, and they had three children, Jeffrey (Mary), Palmyra; Suzanne (Donald) Regney Jr., Monaca; and Tammy (“Dewey”) Mihalow, Patterson Township. Beside his wife and children, he also is survived by six grandchildren, Amanda and Madeline Williams, Palmyra; Ben and Samantha Regney, Monaca; and Brett and Will Mihalow, Patterson Township, and a brother Robert (Mary Ann) Williams, Northern Cambria. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Thomas Williams. Ron was retired from US Airways after 34 years of service, where he was known to his co-workers as the “Old Ranger.” He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Monaca, where he served as an elder and a deacon. Ron also was an active member of the Beaver-Butler Presbytery Council of Presbyterian Men, where he served as president for several years. He also served as a member of the synod council of Presbyterian Men of Pennsylvania. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. Ron was a member of the Keystone Hunting Camp. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and with his buddies at camp and working in his yard. He was also an avid reader, especially history, always trying to expand his knowledge. Calling hours with the family will be on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 998 Atlantic Ave., Monaca, from noon to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, 1301 Indiana Avenue, Monaca, by his Pastor, the Rev. Beth Wierman. Everyone will please meet at the church. Burial will follow in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, Monaca. Memorial donations in Mr. Williams’ name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Monaca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Schleifer Funeral Services Inc.
