Richard M. Ondick

JOHNSTOWN — ONDICK – Richard M., 80, Johnstown, died Dec. 27, 2012, at Siemons’ Manor, Somerset. Born Dec. 12, 1932, son of Michael and Pearl (Kovalchic) Ondick. Preceded in death by parents, and his sister, Pearl. Survived by wife, Peggy (Duncan) Ondick, Florida; daughter, Cheryl (Ondick), and husband, John Lumbard, Virginia; son, Gregory, and wife, Patti (Nolan) Ondick, New Hope; grandchildren, Weston, Allana, Justina and Brendan; brother-in-law, Donald Klimek; and nephew, Donnie Klimek. Dick was the owner/operator of Dick’s Service Station in Johnstown for many years.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and served with the Army Reserve Corps 385th Chemical BN Station on Goucher Street. He was a lifelong member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, West End, where the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro will hold Panachida service at 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. The family would like to thank Don and Donnie Klimek, Betty Glatz, all the staff at Siemons’ Manor and hospice nurses, Linda and Carol. Words can never express our gratitude for all they have done.
