McCREARY – Adele, 89, Johnstown, died Dec. 28, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 20, 1923, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Edward and Gertrude (Johnson) Carlson. Also preceded in death by husband, William; son; William E. McCreary; and sisters, Judy Howard and Helen Haupt. Survived by daughter, Mary Ann (Garry Anderson), Arizona; sisters, Verna Frontz, Latrobe, and Vera Kinsky, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Clifford McCreary; daughter-in-law, Mary McCreary, Richland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Graduate of Johnstown High School and Cambria-Rowe Business College. Member of Albright United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, taking care of her invalid husband for 14 years. Adele was a homemaker and gardener. She loved to play cards and enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends received from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, the Rev. Marge Kiefer, officiating.
