DaRRIGO – Santo “Sam,” 88, Somerset Pike, Jenner Township, died Dec. 28, 2012, at the home of his son, Joseph. Born Aug. 1, 1924, in Jenners, son of Joseph and Rose (Parisi) Darrigo. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Wanda Nadine Pool, Aug. 25, 1982; and brothers, Phillip, John and Carmel. Survived by daughter, Drucilla, married to Carey Lehew, Belle Vernon; son, Joseph, married to Joyce Gross, Gray; six granddaughters; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ellen, Irene and Agnes. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish and PARSE. Life member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club. A retired self-employed barber since 1950. Also barbered at former Somerset State Hospital. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass at noon Monday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant.
