EAST PETERSBURG, PA. — RUTLEDGE – Thomas E. III, 57, East Petersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Jr. and Joan Mitchell Rutledge. Tom worked at ALCOA for the past 18 years. Member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. An avid Steelers fan, he enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving family includes Tom’s son, Thomas E. Rutledge IV, husband of Andrea, and their son, Carson, Mountville, Pa.; daughter, Tiffany M. Rutledge, and her companion, Doug Bender, Lancaster; former wife, Angela Rutledge, East Petersburg, Pa.; sister, Diana Merberger, wife of Kenneth, and their children, Brett and Adam, Johnstown; uncle, Donald Rutledge, husband of Donna, Johnstown; and aunt, Doris Broom, Waldorf, Md. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Thomas E. Sr. and Florence Rutledge; and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Eleanor Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, Pa., 17601, the Rev. Michael Letteer, celebrant. Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa. 17543, and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
