CHERRY TREE — BUTERBAUGH – Goldie M., 87, Cherry Tree, died Jan. 9, 2013, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born Aug. 28, 1925, in Barnesboro, daughter of George J. and Shirley A. (Lantzy) Stephens. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Earl Jr., in 1984; son, Earl Leslie, in 1969; infant grandchildren, Brian Earl and Scott Stephen; sister, Mae Ahlas; brothers, George and Clayton; and son-in-law, Carl Sensabaugh. Survived by daughter, Carol, married to John “Jay” Wagner, and Cindy Sensabaugh, both of Cherry Tree; grandchildren, Jay Wagner, and Kerri Sassano, and husband, Tony; great-grandchildren, Mia Lynne and Brady Anthony Sassano; and sister, Shirley, and husband, Richard Gaston, North Port, Fla. Goldie was the vice president of Buterbaugh Brothers Land and Timber Corp. following the death of her husband. She was a faithful member of Uniontown Church of Christ and devoted her life to her family and her faith. Friends received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Cherry Tree, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Albert Brown, officiating. Interment, Citizens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, 3109 Forbes Ave., Suite 101, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15213.
