LEBANON, PA. — KEENAN– Alexander J. “Babe,” 91, Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Rose Mary (Kurtz) Keenan. Born Dec. 19, 1921, in Johnstown, son of the late John and Helen (McNeil) Keenan. Alexander worked as a payroll programmer for the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cornwall. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Alexander is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Kapp, Lebanon; nephew, Rodger Keenan; six grandchildren, David, husband of Melissa Wall, Roanoke, Va.; Michael and Brian Wall, both of Harrisburg; Steve Wall, Austin, Texas; Danielle Voge, Mohrsville, Pa.; and Daniel, husband of Stephanie Bost of Mount Gretna, Pa.; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel K. Bost; brother, John Keenan Jr.; and sister-in-law, Pauline Keenan. Funeral Mass will celebrated at noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Sacred Heart Church 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall, Pa. 17016. Interment, Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall. Viewing hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon, Pa. 17042 and from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the social hall of the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church Building Campaign, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall, Pa. 17016.
