DAVIDSVILLE — THOMAS – Mary Elizabeth, 86, Davidsville. Mom peacefully went to be with the Lord Jan. 14, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 7, 1926, in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, daughter of David and Catherine (Yoder) Shetler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Delmar C. Thomas, who died July 17, 2006; daughter, Denise Anderson; and brothers, Rev. Harry, Paul, Rev. Charles, David, Delmar, Rev. Ammon, Robert and William. Survived by daughters, Donna (Joseph) Beamer, Townsend, Del.; Darlene (Dale) Miller, Goshen, Ind.; Debra Chaves, Davidsville; and Danita (Robert) Speigle, Boswell; and son-in-law, Robert Anderson, Fredericksburg, Va. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Lydia Catherine Holsopple. Life member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women’s Sewing Circle. She also was the card secretary, sending a special note in all her cards. She enjoyed quilting, baking and volunteering. Mary was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and was always caring for others needs. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kaufman Mennonite Church, Pastors Keith Yoder and Wes Yoder, officiating. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery. Those who wish, please make donations to Johnstown Christian School or Mennonite Central Committee in Akron, Pa. Arrangements by George E.
