Winona June Hudson

CRESSON — HUDSON – Winona June, 86, Cresson, died Jan. 15, 2013, at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg. Born June 20, 1926, in Altoona, daughter of the late George Espie and Effie (Williams) Berkhimer. Preceded in death by sister, Betty Simms. Survived by husband, George Hudson Jr., whom she married April 6, 1948; children, Linda Filak (Larry), Cresson; Georgeanne “Gan” Pettenati (Rick), Ashville; and Marvin Hudson (Dorothy), Hollidaysburg; grandchildren, Dr. Larry Filak Jr. and Darin Filak; Angela Waddell and Christy Servello; and Joseph Hudson and Megan Hudson; and 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Glenn Berkhimer, Ohio. Retired LPN from the former Cresson Center. Member of Cresson United Methodist Church. Loved camping and fishing. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastor William Pepper. Interment, Alto Reste Park, Altoona.
