Warren C. McDermott

WESTOVER — McDERMOTT – Warren C., 76, Westover, passed away Jan. 26, 2013, at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born Nov. 21, 1936, in New York City, son of John Warren and Elizabeth (Fallacker) McDermott. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Donna (Pace) McDermott; son, Richard McDermott; and sisters, Betty and Mildred. Survived by wife of 20 years, Anita R. (Ridenour) McDermott; children, Frances (Albert) Kvorjak, Pittsburgh; Christopher (Marcee) McDermott, Hooversville; Patrick (Patricia) McDermott, Aliquippa; John (Rose) McDermott, McKeesport; Audra (Chad) Freeman, Santa Anna, Calif.; Michele James, Altoona; Mary (Jason) Bindus, Elizabeth, Pa.; Doug (Melanie) McDermott, Indiana; and Michael McDermott, Virginia. Warren dedicated his life to his country, having served 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He later worked for the Boy Scouts of America. No viewing or visitation at the request of the deceased. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service with military honors at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., 1303 Bigler Ave., Northern Cambria. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Warren’s memory to American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors.
