NEW PARIS — GERULA – Eugene Lynn, 54, New Paris, formerly of Windber, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his daughter, Teri’s, home. Born Dec. 14, 1958, in Johnstown, son of the late John and Hazel (Fyock) Gerula. Survived by daughters, Monica Sarver, Sykesville, Md.; Terri, wife of Chad Ewald, Fishertown; and Geri Deremer, New Paris; grandchildren, Owen, Paige and Blaine Deremer; Samantha, Andrew and Logan Sarver; and Brittney, Emily and MaKayla Ewald; brother, John, husband of Pat, Grass Valley, Calif.; sisters, Cindy, wife of Gerald Lang, Hummelstown; and Marie, wife of Craig Simpson, Huntingdon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home, Alum Bank, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber, the Rev. Ken Dible, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Eugene to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 514 Shady Lane, Windber, Pa. 15963.
