BLAIRSVILLE — DAVIS – James Jr., 84, Blairsville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at his home. Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Smithton, Pa., the son of Benjamin and Katie (Davis) White. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Russ Whitfield, officiating. Interment, Blairsville Cemetery. Military service will be accorded by Blairsville VFW Post 5821 and American Legion Post 407. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s name to Second Baptist Church, 241 E. Campbell St., Blairsville, Pa. 15717.
