PORTAGE — JOHNS – Clyde Edgar, 69, Portage, passed away Feb. 2, 2013, at home. Born June 28, 1943, in South Fork, son of Herbert and Thelma (Peck) Johns. Preceded in death by parents; son, William Howard Johns; and brother, Harold B. Johns. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Judy (Salkeld) Johns, whom he married on March 11, 1963; and children, Linda S. Johns, Huntingdon; Donald R. Johns, Portage; and Karen M. Johns, Glen Burnie, Md. Also survived by grandchildren, Ashley Greenlee, Brian Johns, Chelsea Greenlee, Jessica Johns, Brittney Johns and Elijah Johns, all of Glen Burnie, Md. Brother of Helen Townsend, Delores Toth, Richard Johns and Terry Johns. Clyde was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed horse races, playing the lottery and drag car races. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Matthew R. Decort Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Portage, where funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
