ALTOONA — ALLARD – Helena Julia “Judy,” 91, Golden Living Center, Hillview, Altoona, passed away Feb. 6, 2013, at Altoona Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Central City, daughter of Vasil and Maria (Prodan) Kovach. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Charles, Stephen, George and Joseph; and sisters, Anna Galish, Mary Funk and Christina. Survived by loving husband, Stephane; and beloved daughter, Adrienne, both of Altoona. Also survived by sisters, Eva Palanes, Central City; and Elizabeth Shibilski, Lodi, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Judy was a hairdresser and enjoyed reading and playing bingo. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where a brief service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Father Miles Zdinak and Deacon Oleg. Interment, parish cemetery. Panachida will be sung at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
