Frances Kohan

LOWER YODER TOWNSHIP — KOHAN – Frances, 88, Lower Yoder Township, died Feb. 15, 2013, at Ephrata Hospital in Ephrata. Born Sept. 28, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of Benjaman and Kathryn (Pokzywa) Klotz. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward Kohan; brother, Edward Klotz; and sister, Mary Callahan. Survived by loving sons, Edward F., married to the former Deborah Hughes, Johnstown, and Dennis B., married to the former Christine Gill, Ephrata. Also survived by grandchildren, Marc Kohan; Sheri Durst; Kimberly Oakley, and husband, John; Mike Kohan; Katie Kohan; and Matthew Kohan; and great-grandchildren, Luke Hannah, Aiden Kohan, Madison Durst, Anthony and Caleb Oakley and Alissa Durst. Sister of Helen Lundbeck, California. Retired from the candy department of former Penn Traffic Co. Frances liked to cook, bake and travel. She was known as the “Yahtzee Queen.” A member of Resurrection Parish, where funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Alan Thomas. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org . Condolences may be made at ozogfh.com.
