JOHNSTOWN — VUCKOVICH – Mildred “Midge” “Millie,” 81, Westmont and Ferndale, died June 29, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 15, 1931, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Draga (Vujaklia) Vuckovich. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Louis, George, Eli and Samuel Vuckovich; sister, Dorothy Bernard; and brother-in-law, Paul Bernard; also niece, Nannette (Bernard) Pages. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Retired supply clerk supervisor for the former Lee Hospital. Former clerk at the Speicher-Grady Drug Store. Mildred was a meticulous housekeeper and loved to cook and entertain. Member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church. Friends received from 10:30 a.m. until time of brief service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, followed by funeral service at noon at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, the Very Rev. Father C. Michael Simerick. Committal, St. Petka’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church Building Fund in memory of Mildred Vuckovich. Condolences may be sent to ozogfh.com.
