JOHNSTOWN — KOVAL – Frank R., 84, Cambria City, Johnstown, died June 28, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 28, 1927, in Conemaugh, son of Andrew and Anna (Sasarek) Koval. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Margaret Buchko; brothers, Stephen, John, Andrew and Albert Koval; sister, Irene Trautz; and Jennie’s daughter, Vickie Mikolich. Survived by sister, Dorothy Crowell, Pittsburgh; also a number of nieces and nephews. Also survived by fiancee for many years, Jennie Waksmunski, and her family, namely son-in-law, Brian Mikolich; granddaughters, Jennie, wife of Thomas Anderson; and Katie Mikolich; and grandsons, Brian and Steven Mikolich, all of Johnstown. Retired employee with 38 years of service at Bethlehem Steel Co. Member of Senior Citizens Center, Bedford Moose, Commanders Club, Council 72, Junior Order United American Mechanics and Retired Men’s Club. He was very active in Greater Johnstown bowling leagues and was an avid polka lover and dancer. Also a member of Resurrection Parish, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev.
