ALUM BANK — EGOLF – Mrs. Carol J., 75, Main Street, Alum Bank, died at 11:48 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Pennknoll Village. Born Thursday, Jan. 27, 1938, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Charles and Arleta (McDowell) Cooper. On Feb. 27, 1971, she married Richard Egolf. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2001. Survived by stepson, Edwin, husband of Mary Ann (Hinkle) Egolf, Shermansdale; stepdaughter, LuAnn, wife of William Kush, Mifflinburg; and brothers, Larry, husband of Ruby (Mock) Cooper, Schellsburg; Ronald, husband of Lorraine (Lincoln) Cooper, Fort Myers, Fla.; and Donald E., husband of Janis (Miller) Cooper, Schellsburg. Also survived by stepgrandchildren, Kimberly, Brian, Michelle and Amy; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Carol was a graduate of Windber School of Nursing. She worked for 14 years at as a registered nurse at Windber Hospital. She then worked until her retirement for Dr. Henry Shoenthal in New Paris. The family will hold a private graveside service at Schellsburg Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville.
