Clarence William Witt

ARIZONA — WITT – Clarence William “Bill,” born in Boswell on Dec. 3, 1924, passed away March 4, 2013, at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Ariz. Survived by wife, Alice Cassidy Witt; daughter, Lynda Tapley (Lewis); and son, James Witt (Janise); together with grandchildren, Laurie Tapley Gonzales (Joe), Lisa Tapley Allen (Jason), Timothy Tapley (Angela) and Matthew Tapley (Allyson); along with 12 great-grandchildren. Bill was a World War II veteran, having served in New Guinea and the Philippines. He graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a chemistry degree, and retired from Allied Signal Aerospace Engineering, Phoenix, Ariz., now Honeywell, in 1985.
