OIL CITY — MERRYMAN – Darlene June “Maddy,” 62, Ahrensville Road, Oil City, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at UPMC Passavant McCandless Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 8, 1950, daughter of the late Eddie Maddy and Jacquline Burket. Darlene retired from nursing. She also worked at the glass plant in Knox for several years. She loved her family and her dogs. She had many talents, including making jewelry, candles and soap, and woodworking. Survived by children, Darlene Michelle Wright, and husband, Don, Rimersburg; Tammy Reedy, and husband, Russell, Knox; and Robert Merryman Jr., and wife, Denise, Emlenton; and live-in companion, Cloyd Knavel. Also survived by grandchildren, Daniele Merryman, Shawn Wright, Robbie Wright, Ashley Reedy, Alecia Reedy, Rusty Reedy, Joshua Hosey, Caitlin Merryman, Richie Merryman, Cynthia Davis, Dillon Burt, Roy Anthony, Blaine Anthony and Bubba Merryman. Darlene also is survived by brothers, Edward Maddy, John Maddy, Sam Maddy and Mathew Maddy; and sisters, Jackie Eash and Missy Stewart, all of the Central City area; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bill W. In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by sister, Sara Kostick. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 E.
