SEWARD —
McKISSICK – Robert R. Sr., 69, Seward, died March 9, 2013, at his residence. Born Aug. 2, 1943, in Johnstown, son of Graydon and Martha (Kucenski) McKissick. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John John. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Margaret (Wolfhope) McKissick; his children, Laura, wife of Alan Flynn; Robert Jr., married to former Kelly Krouse; Jeffrey Sr., married to former Christina Slebodnik; Christopher, and friend, Blaine Bogle; Cara, wife of Eli Zasadni Sr., all of Johnstown; and Jacob, York; and grandchildren, Aubrey and Andrea Flynn; Kayla and Karli McKissick; Madeline and Jeffrey Jr. McKissick; and Zaondra, Alaina and Eli Jr. Zasadni. Brother of Marcia Grieff, Patrick McKissick, Michael McKissick, Deborah McKissick, Barbara Baker, Joyce Petrilla and Ava McKissick. Mr. McKissick was a veteran of the National Guard. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a motor inspector and Bishop McCort High School, where he worked in the maintenance department. His family will remember him as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren playing marbles and going to movies. Robert also enjoyed spending time with his sisters-in-law every time they got together. A member of Resurrection Parish, where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Father Allan Thomas, officiating. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Private committal will take place at Headricks Union Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to the family at ozogfh.com.
