REVAK – Stephen, 92, formerly of Cymbria, died Oct. 6, 2012, at Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria. Born Jan. 9, 1920, in Barnesboro R.D., son of Nestor and Anna (Merna) Revak. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Ellen (Covel), in 1998; brothers, Ted, Joe, Mike, Jack and Peter; and sisters, Helen Peles and Mary Ferrulo. Sadly missed by four children, Danny, married to “Babe” (Karasek), San Diego, Calif.; Dorea, married to Louie Ballas, Pottstown; Michael, married to Paula (Paddock), Cherry Tree; and Robert, married to Eileen, San Diego, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Toni Klesser, Ebensburg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Retired from B&T Coal 24B Mine, Nicktown. He was a proud active member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local 1269. He worked in the coal mines in this area his entire life. Friends received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with Panachida service at 7 p.m., at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Parastas will be held at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, followed by Funeral Mass of Divine Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Rev. Andrew Clark. Committal, St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cemetery.
