GALLITZIN R.D. — BUCK – Ronald J., 65, Gallitzin R.D., died Oct. 25, 2012, at Altoona Regional. Born Nov. 22, 1946, in Gallitzin R.D., son of the late Jacob L. and Irma (Koons) Buck. Preceded in death by daughter, Barbara Ann, and brothers, Francis, Bruce and James. Survived by wife, the former Charlotte Eger, whom he married Oct. 9, 1965, in Cresson; children, Ronald E. (Jennifer O’Neill), Gallitzin R.D.; Jason (Margo Launi), Ashville; Susan Buck, Strongsville, Ohio; and Michael (Rebecca Myers), Medina, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Brother of Jacob P., Gallitzin R. D.; Gerry (Leona McCarty) Gallitzin R.D.; Theresa Heane (Joe) Gallitzin; Ralph, Cleveland, Ohio; Mary Hoover (Ron), Loretto R.D.; Richard, Cresson; Mike (Luanne Krug), Ashville R.D.; Joe (Mary Lou Hanlon), Gallitzin R.D.; Katy Lynch, Littleton, Col.; and Don (Lisa Ball), Gallitzin R.D. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Retired in 1998 from General Motors in Parma, Ohio, after 30 years’ service and where he served as a committee man for a number of years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Basilica of St. Michael, Loretto, the Rev. Msgr. Timothy Swope, celebrant. Committal, St. Michael Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, where a vigil service will be held Sunday afternoon.
